Analytics, calling, the Windows edition. That is most of the gap once you set the security stack aside. Rows for users, storage, mailbox size read the same on all three plans.

Security is the other half of the gap. It is the bigger half, so it lives on Microsoft security rather than here. Copilot is the E7 line: E7 includes it, E3 plus E5 buy it as the $30.00 add-on shown below.
What are the 2026 pricing and packaging updates for Microsoft 365 enterprise suites?
Two changes on one date. List prices rose on July 1, 2026. The same SKUs picked up capability across the summer. Microsoft priced the additions into the increase.

The no-Teams SKUs took the steeper percentages. Office 365 E3 without Teams moved 21% against 13% for the version with Teams.
What each SKU gained
Capabilities began rolling out in June 2026, with at least 30 days notice in Message Center per tenant, complete by August 1, 2026. Existing customers remain on current pricing until renewal, so the date that decides your bill is your anniversary rather than July 1.
Government plus nonprofit
Government pricing moves in line with commercial. Microsoft 365 G3 GCC, GCC High, DoD all take the same 8% as E3. The G5 equivalents take the same 5% as E5. Where a suite’s total increase exceeds 10%, federal regulations require it to be phased over multiple years, which is what happens to the Office 365 G3 line at 13%. Nonprofit pricing is tied to commercial rates through a fixed percentage discount, 60-75% on the impacted products. Microsoft 365 E3 goes $9.00 to $9.75. E5 goes $22.80 to $24.00. See Microsoft 365 nonprofit plans.
